Hagerstown Area Church Softball - Sports Dinner Note from Mike

Dear Friends,
 
I just want to say THANK YOU for your part of the dinner last night.  The dinner drew the largest crowd we ever had.  We sold a lot of tickets this year!   I know how Satin attacks sometimes when we are trying to sell tickets and prepare for this event.  This year everything went very smooth.

I wish to THANK Scott McGregor and Luke Scott for being our guest speakers.  Their testimonies about being a Christian and their walk with the Lord inspired all of us.  We were blessed to have them speak.

Coaches, I want to THANK YOU again for organizing your teams and helping with this event.  I have a T-SHIRT for each of the coaches for all of your hard work.
 
Shane Wilt told me that there were around 25 people who committed their lives to Christ during the altar call and that three of them decided to walk with Christ last night.  As these 25 people start there relationship with I Christ I ask you pray for them. It will not be easy but I hope they get connected with your pastors.
 
As I was preparing and praying about inviting people to this year's dinner, I thought of the team from our area who went to the Federal Little League World Series this past year.  It was great to have them in attendence.
 
As our guest Oriole speakers left last night we gave them a donation out of some of the ticket sales money and the Love offering, as is our usual custom.  What a surprise blessing it was when one of them handed the money back to me and said that he couldn't take it and that he would see us again next year and [hopefully] with a couple more Orioles.  I am not sure where God is going to lead this event but as you can see by the attendance last night we are filled to capacity at Tri State.  This is a good problem!
 
Also this year, newspaper and TV coverage of the event has been great  by showing people what our little softball league is doing in the community.
